My Story
Ten years ago I ran my first 10k at Legs for Literacy, approximately 6 weeks after running my first 5k. Since then I have done dozens of races, with distances ranging from one mile to 50k. Though I have been running for over ten years, I have been less consistent over the last several months and am just beginning to get my legs back under me, so to speak. I am excited.. and a little bit scared…. to train again for 10k at this year’s event.
In addition to running races, I find it very satisfying to volunteer at local races so other people can have fun on race day. After volunteering at this event for the last couple of years I am quite delighted to join Team Ollie as an ambassador for Legs for Literacy.
