LIVE EVENT ON OCTOBER 21 & 22, 2023 ​

We are back for 2023. Yes, that's right ! New for 2023 is the addition of a Marathon which will be a certified course and a Boston Qualifier.

​

Race distances will include a 5k, 10k, Half-marathon and Marathon & Marathon team relay.

 

Mark October 21-22, 2023 as "Race Weekend" on your calendars for the 2023 Legs for Literacy event. There will still be virtual options too for each distance.

Each participant will receive a medal and a t-shirt, as well as a wave of gratitude from our partners working in literacy organizations, who greatly need our support in these challenging times.

​

In past events, approximately 3000 runners and walkers participated in various race day events: including a full marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k and Team Relays. Another 450 school-aged children competed in our Family Run Walk which encourages children at the elementary and middle school levels to make healthy physical activity a part of their daily routine. In 2022 we raised over $40,000 to local literacy projects, bringing our total to date to over $840,000 thanks to the enormous generosity of the running community and our sponsors.
